Physiotherapy assistant

This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, rewarding healthcare environment. *Duties* * Assist in preparing treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions * Support patients with mobility exercises, transfers, and positioning to promote safety and comfort * Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions and report observations to the physiotherapist * Maintain accurate documentation of patient activities, progress notes, and treatment records * Ensure clinical areas are clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards * Provide compassionate patient care by addressing questions and offering encouragement throughout treatments * Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow within the department * Perform various treatments as prescribed and directed by the supervising Physiotherapist including but not limited to gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, the range of motion, strengthening, application of modalities. (i.e. heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS) * Set up and prepare equipment and clean up after treatment *Skills* * Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy and patient care * Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members * Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to clinical protocols accurately * Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and compassionate care * Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism * A proactive attitude with a genuine interest in supporting patient recovery and health outcomes * tamil and english speaking Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour Benefits: * Flexible schedule * On-site parking Work Location: In person
