This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, health-focused setting while making a meaningful difference in people's lives. *Responsibilities* * Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring all prescriptions are prepared according to medical guidelines. * Manage inventory by stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock levels. * Provide excellent patient care by answering questions, offering medication information, and guiding customers through pharmacy services. * Handle administrative tasks such as processing prescriptions, updating patient records, and maintaining accurate documentation. * Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and medical terminology standards. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area to promote a safe and professional environment. * Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs and medication protocols. *Requirements* * Previous experience in a community / retail pharmacy is highly preferred. * Experience working as a pharmacy assistant or in a similar role is advantageous. * Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures. * Demonstrated commitment to patient care with excellent communication skills. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. * Basic computer skills for managing electronic health records and pharmacy software systems. * A proactive attitude with the willingness to learn and grow within the healthcare field.
