Pharmacy assistant

*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing patient interactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of pharmacy services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration, with experience in hospital or pharmacy settings preferred. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care while developing valuable healthcare skills. *Responsibilities* * Assist pharmacists with preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently * Manage inventory by stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and organizing medication supplies * Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under pharmacist supervision * Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and patient interactions * Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing insurance claims as needed * Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to all safety standards within the pharmacy environment * Ability to drive and deliver prescriptions to patient's residence. *Experience* * Prior community pharmacy experience is highly desirable * Familiarity with medical terminology and data entry process is preferred * Experience in patient care roles will be considered an asset * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting while maintaining accuracy and professionalism Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour Benefits: * Flexible schedule * On-site parking * Store discount Work Location: In person
