Pharmacy assistant

*Summary:* We are looking for a friendly *Pharmacy Assistant* to join our pharmacy team immediately. The ideal candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, superior customer service skills, a positive attitude.They must also demonstrate attention to detail, strong organizational skills, as well as proficient computer and data entry skills. Applicants must be willing to learn and be passionate about their profession. *DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Assist in prescription preparation. Efficiently count or measure, package, and label prescriptions including compliance weekly packages. * Accept written prescription or refill requests from customers in person or via telephone and accurately enter and maintain appropriate data within the Pharmacy systems. * Perform administrative duties, including answering phones, receiving and inputting prescription orders, operating cash registers, and restocking inventory. * Provide support and assistance to the Pharmacist(s) as required, ultimately with a view to enhancing the Pharmacist/customer relationship. * Inventory Management including unpacking and receiving pharmacy totes, placing online orders for medications & OTC, manage customers returns & expired products, proper storage of medications, ensure narcotic inventory is detail received and records updated under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist. * Maintain professional image (dress code) and conduct at all times. * Adhere to all confidentiality and privacy requirements. *Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:* * Pharmacy Experience: 1 year (Preferred) * Fillware Software experience (Preferred) * Diploma from a Pharmacy Assistant credited course (Preferred) Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour Experience: * Pharmacy: 1 year (preferred) * Fillware Software: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person
