*Overview* Optimum Bodies Fitness/CrossFit Bowmanville is looking for an energetic, personable, and experienced *Personal Trainer / Small Group Training Coach* to join our growing team. We specialize in helping everyday people build strength, improve their fitness, lose weight, and develop healthy, sustainable lifestyles. Our primary clientele consists of adults aged 30?55, many of whom are returning to exercise, new to strength training, or looking for personalized coaching and accountability. We're looking for someone who is passionate about helping people succeed, knows how to connect with clients, and can deliver an exceptional coaching experience in both one-on-one and small group settings. This is a *part-time contract position*, with opportunities for morning and/or evening coaching hours. *Duties* * Lead engaging, safe, and effective personal training and small group training sessions. * Coach small groups of up to six clients while providing individualized instruction, modifications, and attention. * Design and deliver progressive strength and conditioning programs tailored to individual goals, abilities, and fitness levels. * Work primarily with adults aged 30?55, including beginners, deconditioned individuals, and clients focused on weight loss, strength, and overall health. * Conduct client assessments, monitor progress, and adjust training programs as needed. * Demonstrate exercises, teach proper technique, and provide hands-on coaching and corrective feedback. * Build strong relationships with clients through encouragement, accountability, and consistent communication. * Create a welcoming, positive, and motivating environment where clients of all fitness levels feel comfortable and supported. * Collaborate with other coaches and team members to ensure a consistent, high-quality client experience. * Maintain a clean, organized, and professional training environment. * Support client retention by delivering exceptional service and helping members achieve measurable results. *Qualifications* * *Required:* * Recognized Personal Training certification (Kinesiology Degree, CanFitPro, CSEP, NASM, ACE, ISSA, NSCA, or equivalent). * Previous experience providing one-on-one personal training and/or small group training. * *Demonstrated experience coaching general population adults aged 30?55.* * Strong knowledge of exercise programming, strength training, functional movement, and exercise modifications. * Ability to confidently coach clients with varying fitness levels, abilities, and training experience. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. * Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain before starting. * Professional, reliable, punctual, and organized. * Availability to coach mornings and/or evenings. *Preferred:* * Experience working with clients focused on weight loss, body composition, and lifestyle improvement. * Experience coaching beginners and individuals returning to fitness after extended periods of inactivity. * Experience leading semi-private or small group personal training sessions. * Additional certifications or education in kinesiology, exercise science, nutrition, or strength and conditioning. * Familiarity with functional fitness. *The Ideal Candidate* We're looking for someone who is more than just knowledgeable about exercise.
