*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Butchery Assistant to join our team. A passion for the food industry and a commitment to excellence are essential for success in this role. *Duties* * Assist the butcher in cutting, trimming, and preparing various types of meat for sale. * Ensure all meat products are handled according to food safety regulations. * Package meat products for display and sale while maintaining freshness. * Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting customers with their selections. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the butchery area, including proper sanitation of tools and equipment. * Monitor inventory levels of meat products and assist in restocking as necessary. * Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. *Skills* * Proficiency in meat cutting techniques and knowledge of various cuts of meat is preferred. * Experience in food preparation within the food industry is advantageous. * Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers. * Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety standards. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. * Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly workspace. * Willingness to learn new skills related to butchery and food preparation.
