Orchard worker

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Staff accommodation available. Relocation costs covered by employer. Tasks: Apply fertilizers. Clean the crops. Cut agricultural crops. Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots. Dose water saturation, light and temperature as instructed for crop growth and development. Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume to fetch high price in market.. Mixing fertilizer. Pick row and orchard crops. Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops. Sort fruits and vegetables. Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality. Write daily basic progress reports. Clean work area. Fertilize and spray crops. Harvest crops. Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market. Type of crops: Cherries.
