Job description
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. All weather conditions. Work setting: Machinery installation. Maintenance. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Service. Repair. Willing to relocate. Overhaul. Machine set-up. Shopwork. Tasks: Assemble mechanical equipment. Assemble stationary industrial machinery. Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Repair or replace defective machinery parts. Supervise other workers. Estimate costs and materials. Perform routine maintenance work on machinery. Operate machining tools to fabricate parts. Installing machinery and equipment. Commission systems and components. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification. Construction Millwright Trade Certification. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Office. Equipment and machinery experience: Conveyor. Fans and blowers. Gas and air dryers. Heat exchangers. Hydraulic system. Power tools. Pumps and compressors. Tool grinders. Turbines. Welding equipment. Area of specialization: Troubleshooting. Centering and setting to elevation. Bearing, seals and packing. Laser levelling/aligning. Welding. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Work under pressure. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat.
