Mechanical design engineer

The company was established in 1946 and continues to attract many long-term employees who are highly valued and given the opportunity to excel at their trade or profession. *What's the role:* This is an excellent opportunity for a person with a Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and 5+ years of related work experience in the manufacturing or mining industry. Preferably, the person would have a current Professional Engineer (P.Eng) certification, or an experienced Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) person looking for greater challenges or a change. You will become an integral part of our manufacturing team. Mechanical design work is part of many of our design/build projects, as well as modifications to existing designs. The following are preferred job assets: * Experience working with Autodesk Inventor or other 3D modeling software. * The preferred candidate would have experience designing mining equipment. Potash mining experience and/or related conveyor systems engineering is an asset. There will be an initial training period utilizing our systems to complete drawing takeoffs, estimating, and sourcing. This will equip you with knowledge of our systems. Eventually, you will assume full control of your projects from the initial estimate, customer communication, to design and detailing for shop production. *What's in it for YOU:* You will become a valued member of our talented technical team.
