Education: College/CEGEP. Civil engineering technology/technician. Metallurgical technology/technician. Materials science. Chemical technology/technician. or equivalent experience. Work setting: General office. Laboratory. Testing. Equipment operation. Tasks: Mix chemicals and cements. Conduct quality control. Compile records and interpret experimental or analytical results. Analyze, synthesize, purify, modify and characterize chemical or biochemical compounds. Interpret test results. Provide technical support for research. Type of materials: Technical reports. Concrete products. Type of product: Construction materials or coatings. Resource usage and environmental studies: Waste resources reutilization.
