Material handler

Maintain and encourage a safe working environment and good housekeeping * Load, unload and move material and products by hand or using basic material handling equipment * Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking * May be required to open containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory and weighing and checking materials * Responsible for fork lift checks * Ensure compliance with Plant and Legislated safety guidelines * Continuously monitor the organization and management of the storage yard and assist as deemed necessary * Work as a Team Member in all situations * Adhere to ISO/QS 9000 & TS16949 procedures * Ensure work cells are equipped with correct quantities and types of containers, scrap bins, etc * Back up shipping receiving as required * Assist with Plant and yard housekeeping * Apply FIFO (First in, First Out) rule to all materials * Grade 12 Diploma * Good English, written, verbal and oral skills * Tow Motor license Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * On-site parking Experience: * counterbalance propane: 3 years (required) Licence/Certification: * Forklift Licence (required) Work Location: In person
