Marketing assistant

Port Boat House is an industry-leading dealership for Yamaha Outboards, ATVs and Side-by-Sides, Ranger Tugs, Cutwater Boats, and North River Boats. With over 45 years in business, we are proud to serve customers throughout Vancouver Island and coastal BC. We are looking for a motivated and creative *Marketing Assistant* to join our Port Alberni/ Lions Bay team. Marine experience is not required; however, preference will be given to candidates with an interest in boating, fishing, motorsports, or the recreational industry. *Responsibilities* * Create and manage content for Facebook, Instagram, and other digital platforms. * Assist with updating website content, product listings, photos, and promotional information. * Create marketing materials including brochures, flyers, advertisements, email campaigns, and social media graphics. * Take photos and videos of boats, products, events, deliveries, and dealership activities. * Assist with planning and promoting boat shows, dealership events, promotions, and other marketing initiatives for both Port Boat House and Howe Sound Marine. * Support the Sales Department with customer follow-up, product information, documentation, and day-to-day administrative tasks. * Help maintain customer and sales records and assist with lead follow-up. * Work with Sales, Service, and Parts departments to promote products, services, and company activities. * Monitor marketing activities and help identify opportunities to improve customer engagement. * Attend boat shows and industry events as required. * Perform other sales, marketing, and administrative duties as assigned. *Qualifications* * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. * Experience with Facebook and Instagram. * Drone experience / drone license * Experience with photography is an asset * Experience with Canva, basic graphic design, photography, or video creation is an asset. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. * Attention to detail and willingness to learn. * Positive attitude and strong customer-service mindset. * Previous customer service or social media experience is preferred. * Interest in boating, fishing, motorsports, or recreational vehicles is an asset. *Position Details* *Job Type:* Full-time, Permanent *Schedule:* Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts *Pay:* $22.00?$26 per hour, based on experience *Additional Compensation:* * Bonus pay * Relocation allowance for eligible candidates *Benefits:* * Medical and Dental care * Paid time off * On-site parking * Store discount *Work Location:* In person ?
