All tooling is designed in-house using (3-D) VISI software. We take pride in the fact that all the necessary tooling components including custom die shoes are machined in-house using our state-of-the-art CNC equipment. MAINWAY designers have experience with machine design, automotive progressive dies, die transfer, and part development/prototypes. MAINWAY is the ?go to? organization for quality parts, quick turn around and on-time delivery. MAINWAY has the ability to produce parts of any quantity while strictly adhering to drawing specifications and tolerances. Known for high quality prototype parts, it is a challenge to decipher if those parts were produced off hard tooling. MAINWAY provides a full in-house stamping facility. Presses and feed lines range from 40 Ton to 800 Ton. MAINWAY's in-house stamping department not only provides our customer with quality parts, it also provides added value, with spot welding, surface coatings, a robotic weld cell and a full assembly line. _*MAINWAY is currently hiring Experienced Manual Machinists *_*for our automotive parts manufacturing facility located in St George Ontario.* *Responsibilities* Reporting into the Toolroom Supervisor, the Manual Machinist is responsible for the accurate and timely machining of MAINWAY tools and dies. A critical function within the company, MAINWAY Machinists exhibit keen attention to detail and ensure the highest of quality standards when building products. Dies that are built by the team are relied upon by MAINWAY production as well as in the factories of the world?s leading companies. Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to): o *Machining of MAINWAY tools and dies* * Manufacturing parts accurate to the engineered drawings and specifications, within intended schedule. This includes performing machine set ups in a timely fashion. * Safely and professionally operating a variety of machines. This includes machinery used to cut, mill, drill, and grind. * Fabricating and shaping parts such as tools and machine parts out of metal, plastics and composites o *Maintenance & Quality Inspection* * Performing daily pre-start-up Inspection of equipment & machines as required * Using gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements * Performing work-in-process measuring and checks using specialized precision tools and equipment * Performing daily cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment * Recognizing, deploying and properly using inserts, fixtures and tooling * Performing and documenting in-process quality checks as required * Identifying and establishing Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) when needed for disposition to your supervisor * Adhering to all Health & Safety Rules and Regulations * Organizing and putting tools away in assigned areas o *Cross Departmental Administration and Coordination:* * Meeting or exceeding scheduling requirements to ensure parts are completed on-time * Notifying key personnel when jobs are completed or ready for processing * Following process related instructions, procedures and requirements * Making recommendations to the Supervisor in order to improve productivity and quality * Acting as a technical source of information for the Supervisor when required * Presenting yourself in a professional and courteous manner within the company and with customers and suppliers * Any other duties as assigned by a Manager or Supervisor We thank all candidates for their submissions and will be contacting applicants selected for interviews on a rolling basis starting immediately.
