Powered by People_ _*We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator to join our growing logistics team in Milton Ontario. *_ _*This will be a challenging and rewarding position for the successful candidate and we look forward to reviewing all qualified applicants.*_ _*Compensation: *_$50,000-$60,000 depending on experience, plus monthly commissions _*Shift: *_Mon-Fri 9am to 6pm, occasional weekends *The focus of this role is brokering and coordinating of loads however duties will include but not limited to:* · Source and qualify carriers · Handle customer inquires · Obtain and negotiate competitive rates · Enter and dispatching loads, choosing the right truck & instructing Carriers · Prepare all necessary documents involved in transporting cargo · Track & Trace loads through to destination · Liaise with head office regarding billing or any possible claims · Ability to provide after-hours and weekend support when necessary · Form mutually beneficial carrier/broker relationships · Manage the approval of your shipments to accounting on time, with supporting documentation · Administrative duties as required *Specific job functions will include but not limited to:* · Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment · The ability to make successful business relationships · Exceptional negotiation skills · A positive customer first attitude · A strong knowledge of North American geography · Team player with the ability to provide administrative, sales & management support when necessary · After-Hours track and trace required It is important to note that Slingshot Brokers, Inc focuses on quality business and excellent top-level service within a team-oriented environment.
