We are looking for an experienced, dedicated, *Logistics Coordinator*, with a passion for *transportation*, ideally in a food manufacturing environment, to support our growing business. Reporting directly to our Logistics Manager, the Logistics Coordinator will support all logistics activities. Helping to achieve accurate and timely inbound and outbound shipments ? cross-border, cross Canada, international and interplant. This role will support the logistics department across all Niche Bakery locations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a good knowledge of shipping and transportation, and a desire to learn and grow. *The "Recipe" - Job Essentials* · Coordinate daily transportation, both cross-border and domestic, inbound and outbound to ensure on-time shipment and delivery · Work closely with Distribution Centers to ensure all shipping schedules are met · Manage plant-to-plant transfers to ensure efficiencies · Monitor carrier performance to minimize accessorial fees · Preparation of import and export paperwork for all shipping locations · Support shipping & receiving clerks with day-to-day paperwork and any changes to paperwork · Daily communication with external warehouse and internal shipping team to ensure accurate scheduling and on-time pick up / delivery · Monitor inbound shipments of equipment from Europe, China, North America and other locations as needed · Participate in project initiative teams, looking at, but not limited to, opportunities for cost savings on the delivery of procurement ingredients · Participate in annual intra-Canada / transborder RFP or rate reviews · Assist with new Carrier On-Boarding calls · Work with shipping-site location managers to improve logistics operational and performance metrics. · Identify potential cost savings and service improvement opportunities · Maintain partnerships with both internal and external partners, prepare reports to support monthly logistics reporting, score-carding, benchmarking and analytics. *"Secret Ingredients" - Success Factors 'You' bring to the position.* * High school diploma or equivalent * Previous experience in transportation and logistics · Strong Microsoft Office skills, with particular proficiency in Microsoft Excel * Attention to detail and accuracy * Comfortable working with computers and shipping software * Strong organizational and time?management skills * Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team * Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS) * Familiarity with inventory control procedures · Ability and willingness to respond to occasional after-hours issues as they arise *What you can expect from us. * * The opportunity to join our talented, dynamic, diverse and inclusive team. * You will have the opportunity to use your current experience, knowledge and skill to continue growing with us. * Our supportive team will offer encouragement during your professional growth and development. * You will have opportunities that are meaningful and impactful within the scope of your work assignments. _Niche Bakers Corp. embraces diversity in the workplace and is committed to achieving employment equity.
