Known for its *welcoming atmosphere and excellent service*, Stacked continues to expand, bringing quality dining experiences to communities across Canada. *Position Summary* The *Line Cook* is responsible for *food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring meals are prepared according to guidelines and standards.* *Duties and Responsibilities* The duties and responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following: *Food Preparation & Cooking* * Prepare food items daily, following *recipes, portion control, and presentation specifications.* *Station Setup & Cleanliness* * Set up stations per guidelines, *clean as you go*, and maintain an *organized and sanitary work environment.* *Equipment & Safety* * Use kitchen equipment properly and safely, maintaining knowledge of *equipment operation.* *Inventory & Restocking* * Restock food and supplies throughout the shift to ensure *continuous service.* *Sanitation & Organization* * Assist in cleaning kitchen areas, including *walk-in coolers and storage*, and execute a *daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedule.* *Efficiency & Flexibility* * Work at a *consistent pace*, ensure timely meal preparation, and adjust to *changing needs throughout the shift.* *Quality Control* * Ensure food is served at the *correct portion size, temperature, and quality standards.* *Minimum Requirements* * *Minimum 1 year of cooking experience required.* * Demonstrate knowledge of *food quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation required.* * Knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles of *safe food handling required.* * *Effective communication skills.* * Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a *diverse working environment.* * *Highly effective teamwork skills.* * The ability to *read and follow cheat sheets* * *Attention to detail* in all areas of work. * Superior *time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.* * Strong *problem identification and problem resolution skills.* * *Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.* *Working Conditions* * *7am-3pm operation hours.* * *Weekends, as needed.* * Ability to *stand for long period of time* * Ability to *lift up to 50 pounds.* Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour Benefits: * Discounted or free food * On-site parking Language: * English (preferred) Work Location: In person
