Job description

Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Conduct tests and analysis using other physical and chemical separation techniques. Conduct tests and analysis using spectroscopy techniques. Maintain laboratory equipment. Set up chemical experiments, tests and analyses. Assist in set up and conduction of chemical experiments. MS Office. Assist in development of standards, health and safety measures. Compile records and interpret experimental or analytical results. Prepare solution of gas or liquid, reagents, and sample formulations. Type of resources: Precious metal. Analytical techniques: Chromatography. Particles, surface and colloid chemistry. Sampling. Spectometry by Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP). Instrumentation. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. Desktop applications. Type of industry experience: Industrial and inorganic chemicals. Organic and specialty chemical products. Scientific and professional equipment. Area of specialization: Analytical chemistry. Industrial chemistry. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate. Organized. Time management.
