KidsFirst Home Visitor

Position Summary The primary responsibility of this position is to provide ongoing intensive supportive services primarily through home visits to assigned immigrant and refugee families. Primary Responsibilities Encourage and promote self-sufficiency in all families Provide services to families before and after the birth of a baby Schedule and conduct home visits as determined by the KidsFirst Weighted Caseload Level Definition and utilizes the Growing Great Kids curriculum during home visits. Encourages and assists families in keeping an on-going file of home visit plans and follow up activities Provide families with the necessary information by utilizing materials and tools provided during training (i.e., Growing Great Kids, Family Curriculums, Ages and Stages, Daily Dos, Home Safety, Fire Safety, Immunization schedules, etc.) Reinforce and encourage positive ways parents can relate to their children Establish trusting, supportive and professional caring relationships with assigned families.
