Kennel attendant

We are looking for someone who is passionate about animals to join our team as a part-time kennel assistant. Shifts will be both weekdays and weekends between the hours of 8am - 8pm with the majority of shifts being 8-10am. We are open 365 days a year to care for the animals so shifts will include holidays. Duties will include; -Working alone and as a team - customer service -Handling different species of animals, primarily dogs, cats and small animals -Cleaning/disinfecting -General animal care including; feeding/watering, medicating, basic grooming -walking/exercising dogs in all weather conditions. Dogs are let out multiple times a day, 365 days a year. - working with dogs on socializing, basic training and enrichment activities We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment. This is a physically demanding job, most of the day will be spent on your feet. Dress code is casual, be prepared to get muddy/covered in hair. We are out with the dogs regardless of weather so bring appropriate outerwear. We are located 10 minutes west of Hyde Park, there is no public transit.
