Job description

Languages English Education College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years Experience 3 years to less than 5 years On site Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Work site environment Confined spaces Wet/damp Work setting Commercial Industrial Responsibilities Tasks Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems Repair domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems Prepare tenders and quotations Instruct apprentices Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment Schedule personnel, tools and equipment Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing Supervise other workers Estimate costs and materials Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size Supervision 3-4 people Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Plumber Trade Certification Additional information Security and safety Criminal record check Driving record check (abstract) Transportation/travel information Valid driver's licence Work conditions and physical capabilities Physically demanding Hand-eye co-ordination Handling heavy loads Large workload Own tools/equipment Steel-toed safety boots Benefits Health benefits Dental plan Disability benefits Health care plan Paramedical services coverage Vision care benefits
