Inventory control clerk

APPLICATION DEADLINE: October 23, 2026 *JOB SUMMARY:* Skyline Helicopter Technologies is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk to support the maintenance team at our helicopter maintenance and overhaul facility. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory accuracy, optimizing stock levels, and supporting maintenance planning activities. This position includes all Shipping and Receiving activities ensuring accuracy of the distribution and procurement processes. *DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* ·*INVENTORY CONTROL: * * Monitor and maintain accurate records of all inventory levels for all goods shipped, received or retracted from inventory (using and ERP system) * Plan, organize and coordinate with the Operations Department regarding parts availability for upcoming service work in the shop * Participate actively in the coordination and preparation of the annual inventory counts * Evaluate all expired inventory and report any discrepancies to the Production Manager * Ensure that stockroom and shipping/receiving areas are clean, organized and easily accessible · *PURCHASING: * * Regularly assess min/max requirement levels for specified consumables, hardware, shop supplies and materials and anticipate need for upcoming purchases accordingly * Purchase specified consumables, hardware, shop supplies and materials or other goods required for efficient operations of the business as directed * Process other purchasing requests from other departments in a timely manner and assist as directed · *SHIPPING*: * Select appropriate couriers and schedule pick up for all outgoing shipments of stock parts, supplies, materials and equipment and manage cut-off times * Retrieve, prepare and package all outgoing shipments (bill of lading, certifications, packing slips, etc.) * Track outgoing shipments and monitor their status * Allocate freight costs to work orders as required · *RECEIVING: * * Track all incoming shipments and monitor their status * Promptly process the receiving of all incoming shipments according to priority status, validate accuracy of all documentation and certification, inspect for damages and report * Catalog (label) and store parts, supplies, material in their designated area * Record and update inventory levels in database · Communicate adequately with logistics technicians, customer service representatives and service providers to ensure smooth operations · Process all external calibration requests: receive incoming tool, create repair order, transfer part to Calibration department, organize for shipping/pick-up upon completion · Process all external component overhaul and repair orders: receive incoming part/component (internal and external), create CO workorder, transfer part to Overhaul department or external vendor as required, organize for shipping/pick-up upon completion · Ensure compliance and adherence to all company policies and procedures. · Work collaboratively at the service of the maintenance team and provide additional support to all departments as needed. *EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS* · Minimum Education: High school diploma, college diploma in related field an asset · Minimum Experience: 3 years of previous experience in inventory control operations in a trades or transportation industry including purchasing, shipping/receiving and logistics *OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES* · Proven experience in logistics and scheduling, including shipping software and equipment · Accuracy and strong attention to detail · Communication skills, customer service focused attitude · Tech savvy and accurate data entry and record keeping, working knowledge of MRP/ERP inventory systems · Strong sense of time management and ability to prioritize tasks according to urgency and importance · Physical strength and capability to lift and move packages of various weights · Ability to work independently as well as ability to work well as a team player · Valid Can
