We support our customers through operations located in NS, NB, NL, and PE.We are looking for a skilled Industrial Electrician to support the reliability and performance of our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will work closely with Operations and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues, complete repairs, and help ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. The Industrial Electrician will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.The Perks:· Hourly rate: $43.98· Full-time, permanent· Comprehensive group insurance benefits package, including defined contribution pension plan, with a company match· Employee and family assistance program· Yearly safety shoe allowance and tools provided· Gym membership discount· Free onsite parkingThis is a unionized position that includes shift work.Duties & Responsibilities:· Maintain and repair electrical systems, equipment, and machinery· Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions· Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure continuous, reliable operation· Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs, noting any issues or equipment conditions that require attention· Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE)Qualifications & ExperienceRequired Qualifications:· Legally entitled to work in Canada as a Red Seal Industrial Electrician· Experience working in a manufacturing environment· Experience working with AC/DC drives, PLC, and motor control circuits· Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills· Ability to work shift work and overtime as neededPreferred Qualifications:· A mechanical background in the field of hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication is considered an assetThis role is well suited for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in troubleshooting complex electrical systems, maintaining equipment reliability, and supporting safe, efficient operations.Maritime Paper Products promotes and encourages career advancement within our Scotia Investments Family of Companies.Maritime Paper Products is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.We are committed to inclusive, barrier-free recruitment and selection processes and work environments.
