Housekeeping attendant

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged. Tasks: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors. Dust furniture. Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture. Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances. Pick up debris and empty trash containers. Launder clothing and household linens. Wash windows, walls and ceilings. Prepare and submit reports. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Housekeeping activities. Perform general cleaning duties (i.e. sweeping, mopping floors). Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs. Ensure hygiene and sanitation practices conform to policies and regulations.
