HealthOPM Position Overview HealthOPM is currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Housekeeper to support a retirement home in Goderich, Ontario. The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This is a casual position, with shifts based on the facility's staffing needs. Key Responsibilities • Perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties throughout the retirement home. • Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, dining areas, and other designated spaces. • Perform dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping. • Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces and frequently used areas. • Follow proper infection prevention and cleaning procedures. • Safely use cleaning products, supplies, and equipment. • Maintain cleaning supplies and report shortages or equipment issues. • Follow all facility health, safety, and sanitation policies. • Respect residents' privacy, dignity, and personal belongings while performing housekeeping duties. • Report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or other issues to the appropriate staff. • Work collaboratively with the facility team to maintain a clean and safe environment. Requirements • Previous housekeeping, cleaning, hospitality, healthcare, or retirement-home experience is an asset. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Reliable, punctual, and professional. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to interact respectfully with seniors and residents. • Physically capable of performing housekeeping duties, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting. • Willingness to follow facility policies and infection-control procedures. • Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) ? required or willing to obtain one. • Reliable transportation to the Goderich facility is an asset.
