Tasks: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required. Keep maintenance reports and documentation. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications. Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work. Perform repair work on heavy trucks. Perform other routine maintenance. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Truck and Coach Service Licence (310T). Diesel engine repair specialization: Installation and alignment of engines and machinery. Powered equipment repair specialization: Cable-operated working attachments. Hydraulic-operated working attachments. Compressors. Electric generators. Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts. Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization: Hydraulic transmissions. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own transportation.
