About Our Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Policy Analyst to join the Marine Renewables Division. This is a key position within the Department of Energy responsible for providing leadership on a variety of projects that support the Province's efforts to develop offshore wind energy and tidal energy.
The Senior Policy Analyst will develop and advise on complex strategies, legislation, regulations, policies, programs, and major initiatives related to marine renewable energy. This position plays a lead role in managing partnerships and collaborating with government, First Nations, the marine renewable energy industry, research organizations and academia, and stakeholders to advance Nova Scotia's marine renewable energy sector. This position also provides substantive support in broader areas of marine renewable energy research and development.
Primary Accountabilities
As the Senior Policy Analyst, you will be responsible for leading policy development, coordinating research and analyses, managing projects, and strategic planning related to marine renewable energy. You will use your ability to analyze and synthesize information to provide recommendat
