Job description

Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry. Work setting: Private practice. Tasks: Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders. Prescribe post-operation medication and treatment . Supervise surgical procedures. Treat diseases, injuries and deformities. Conduct microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens. Study the nature, cause and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases. Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination.
