A *Tactical Security Guard* will act as the first-line representative to all staff, customers, and clients. *Duties:* * Responsible for the protection of people, property, facilities, and information * Maintain surveillance of surrounding area and report suspicious activity * Strong ability to de-escalate situations and be able to handle individuals that need to be removed from the property * Perform detailed and diligent patrols * Ability to handle emergency alarms in a quick manner (e.g., Fire Alarms, etc) * Observe and report daily activities and irregularities to appropriate personnel * Ensure that all safety and emergency procedures are followed * Work with local police service * Draft reports *Skills Required:* * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills while being alert and detail oriented * Ability to exercise vigilance and multitask is required (Ability to prioritize, remain calm and multi-task under pressure in a dynamic environment) * Ability to de-escalate and diffuse challenging situations and successfully resolve customer issues in a diplomatic and professional manner * Excellent knowledge of issues related to homelessness (e.g. psycho/social/physical, educational and/or environmental problems), including the ability to provide appropriate resources for individuals, families and children * Ability to effectively generate all relevant shift reports and distribute in a timely manner * Must be able to speak, read and write in English *The Ideal Candidate:* * Must hold and maintain valid applicable Security Guard License and First Aid & CPR Certification * Minimum of 1 year of tactical security experience in large venue settings in a team environment * Valid Use of Force Hand-cuffing Certification would be an asset * A post-secondary degree / diploma in law / criminal justice; verified military or police service experience; a recognized industry designation e.g. (CPP, APP, PSP, PCI, CRM, CPO; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience would be an asset *Schedule:* * Weekends - 0630-2000 Hours * Weekends - 0900-2000 Hours * Weekdays - 0630-1430 hours Full Time *What Logixx Security Offers:* * Competitive Pay Structure * Quality Training Programs * Career Development Opportunities _Logixx Security Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and takes pride in a diverse environment.
