Job description

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Calculate the cost of truck repairs and new parts if needed. Professionalism in customer service. Load and unload goods. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Transport and handle dangerous goods. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks). Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles). Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Documentation knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Type of trucking and equipment: Liquid bulk. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Drive manual transmission vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Repetitive tasks. Sitting.
