*About us* Aesir Contracting is a framing and concrete formwork contractor based in Victoria, owned and run on site by a Red Seal carpenter. We frame multi-family wood-frame buildings and form foundations, walls and curbs for general contractors across the South Island. Recent work includes Campus View near UVic, the Impera building in Langford and the Ladysmith Hotel. We're growing, and we're adding carpenters to the crew. *The role* A carpenter or framer to join the crew full-time. You'll work alongside our lead hands on site framing, prefab wall panels in the yard, and concrete formwork for foundations, walls and curbs. Show up, work safe and keep learning, and there's room to move up. *What you'll do* * Frame walls, floors and roofs on multi-family and custom home jobs * Build and stand prefab wall panels * Build, set and strip concrete forms * Work from layout and the lead hand's direction, true, square and plumb * Keep the site clean and work safe *What we need* * 1+ years of framing or formwork experience. Apprentices welcome * Comfortable with a framing nailer, saws and a tape * Reliable: on site by 6:45 for a 7am start * Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation. Sites are across the South Island * Clear communication in English on site * Your own hand tools, hard hat, high-vis and steel-toes * Apprenticeship in progress, formwork or first aid tickets an asset *Pay and hours* * $25 to $34 an hour on payroll, based on experience * Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7am start; the odd Saturday when a pour or a deadline calls for it * Rate set after your first few days with us, reviewed at the end of your three-month probation * Room to grow into a lead hand role as the company grows *How to apply* Apply through Indeed with a resume, or call or text Jon at 250-277-2297.
