Forklift operator

*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently and safely moving goods within the warehouse environment, utilizing various types of forklifts and related equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in warehouse management systems, and experience with order picking and heavy lifting. This position plays a vital role in maintaining smooth warehouse operations, ensuring timely order fulfillment, and supporting overall distribution processes. *Responsibilities* * Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the warehouse * Perform heavy lifting tasks to move goods and inventory accurately and efficiently * Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movement and update stock records * Execute order picking activities with precision to fulfill customer orders promptly * Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure safety standards are maintained * Assist with the organization and storage of products to optimize space utilization * Support the implementation of safety procedures and report any equipment malfunctions or hazards * Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments *Qualifications* * Minimum 1 year experience of operating forklifts in a warehouse setting is required * Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and inventory management systems * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on a daily basis * Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and procedures * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Prior experience with order picking tasks is an asset This position offers an engaging work environment where safety, efficiency, and teamwork are prioritized.
