In this vital role, you will provide specialized foot care services to clients in their homes or healthcare facilities, promoting mobility, comfort, and overall well-being. Your expertise will help improve the quality of life for individuals with various health conditions requiring foot health management. *Duties* * Perform comprehensive foot assessments to identify issues such as infections, ulcers, corns, calluses, and other foot conditions * Deliver professional foot care treatments including trimming, filing, and skin or nail care while maintaining strict hygiene standards * Educate clients on proper foot hygiene, footwear choices, and injury prevention strategies * Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans tailored to each client?s needs * Document all treatments and observations accurately in electronic health records using systems like Epic or Cerner * Assist with managing chronic conditions such as diabetes or dementia that impact foot health * Support clients with mobility challenges by providing gentle assistance and ensuring safety during procedures *Qualifications* * Valid nursing license with registration from the appropriate regulatory body * Prior experience working in nursing homes, hospitals, or acute care settings is highly preferred * Knowledge of dementia care, senior care, hospice care, and pediatrics is advantageous * Experience in home care environments demonstrating patient-centered approaches * Proficiency in medical terminology, medication administration, and laboratory procedures such as phlebotomy is desirable * Familiarity with electronic health record systems like Epic or Cerner enhances efficiency * Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams PLEASE NOTE PAYMENT IS PER VISIT WITH EACH VISIT BEING 1 HOUR ON AVERAGE Join us to make a meaningful difference in clients? lives through expert foot care!
