Floor covering supervisor

*NOC 72014* *Overview* We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Floor Covering Supervisor to join our team at YYC Flooring Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating floor covering installation projects in commercial and residential settings, leading a team of installers, tilesetters, and trades helpers while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This is a full time position that offers hands-on leadership experience, ongoing skill development, and excellent opportunities for professional growth and career advancement. *Duties:* * Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of floor covering installers, tilesetters, and trades helpers on commercial and residential installation projects. * Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan installation layouts and determine project requirements. * Estimate costs, materials, labour, and timelines for floor covering projects and prepare accurate quotes. * Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies, and ensure they are delivered to job sites on schedule. * Lead, instruct, and train workers on installation techniques, quality standards, and company procedures, or arrange for training as needed. * Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards, client specifications, and building codes. * Ensure all workplace health and safety regulations and safe work practices are followed on every job site. * Prepare production reports, progress reports, and other project documentation. * Recruit and hire workers, carry out related staffing actions, and recommend personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, or discipline. * Communicate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to resolve issues and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. *Requirements:* * Secondary (high) school graduation certificate *Languages:* English *Terms of Employment:* Permanent employment, Full-time, 32?40 hours a week Shifts: Morning, Day, Weekend *Experience:* 1 year to less than 2 years *Work location:* On site ? work must be completed at the physical location.
