Job description
Adecco is currently hiring a Senior Financial Analyst (CPA) for our client in Toronto, ON. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, ERP systems, and public sector accounting.
As a key member of the Finance team, you will support financial reporting, business planning, treasury operations, ERP initiatives, and strategic decision-making.
• Pay Rate: $85,000 - $105,000/year
• Location: Toronto, ON
• Shift: Monday to Friday
• Job type: Temporary | 1 year with possibility of extension OR 6 months with possibility of extension | Full-time

Responsibilities:
• Lead month-end and year-end accounting and financial reporting activities.
• Prepare financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
• Manage general ledger, payroll accounting, capital assets, inventory, and reconciliations.
• Support treasury functions, including cash forecasting, banking, and investments.
• Prepare reports for senior leadership, committees, and external stakeholders.
• Support audits, regulatory reporting, and compliance activities.
• Develop financial models and support annual budgeting and multi-year planning.
• Recommend and implement process improvements, financial controls, and reporting enhancements.
• Provide financial guidance and insights to leadership teams.
• Support ERP implementation, testing, reporting improvements, and user training.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• CPA designation required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
• Experience in a government, public sector, healthcare, education, or broader public sector environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PSAS, PSAB, GAAP, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and treasury management.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar.
• Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Must be able to successfully complete a background and credit check.
• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
