Job description
*Job Overview* We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Steel Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw steel materials into precise, high-quality components used in construction, industrial, and architectural projects. Your expertise in welding, machining, blueprint reading, and metal fabrication will ensure that each project meets rigorous standards of safety, durability, and craftsmanship. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about manufacturing and skilled in various fabrication techniques to contribute to innovative steel structures and assemblies. *Responsibilities* * Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication specifications and procedures. * Operate welding equipment such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welders to join steel components with precision. * Use plasma cutting tools, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble steel parts. * Perform rigging tasks to lift and position heavy steel sections safely using cranes or forklifts. * Measure materials accurately with calipers and other measuring devices to ensure proper fit and alignment. * Read schematics and technical diagrams to guide assembly processes for ductwork or structural frameworks. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols during fabrication and assembly activities. *Qualifications* * Proven experience in steel fabrication, manufacturing, or construction environments with hands-on knowledge of welding (MIG/TIG), machining, and blueprint reading. * Strong mechanical knowledge of tools such as calipers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and schematics interpretation. * Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment safely for lifting heavy steel components. * Familiarity with ductwork fabrication or structural assembly is a plus. * Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. * Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings relevant to steel fabrication projects. * Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to follow safety procedures diligently.
