Job description
*Electronics Technician* Location: Sudbury, ON (shop based) *About LoopX* LoopX is a Physical AI company based in Sudbury and Toronto. We build all-condition intelligence for mining and heavy industry. Our systems are deployed on active mining equipment, improving safety, increasing productivity, and enabling the future of autonomous mining. *Role Overview* We are seeking an Electronics Technician to assemble, calibrate, configure and test our systems in our Sudbury shop. This hands-on role includes taking ownership of shop production, planning daily work and ensuring equipment is complete, tested and ready for deployment on schedule. Strong organization, initiative and accountability are essential. You will coordinate priorities, anticipate issues and take responsibility for following work through to completion. Training on our products, tools and procedures will be provided. *Responsibilities* * Precisely calibrate sensors using specialized tools and software developed in house * Assemble electrical harnesses and control boxes, install software and configure systems * Test systems, troubleshoot issues and maintain accurate technical records * Prepare complete installation kits and ensure equipment is tested, documented and ready for shipping * Plan daily tasks and production schedules to meet deployment deadlines * Track and report progress, identify issues early and follow through on solutions * Maintain inventory, anticipate shortages, purchase required parts and track deliveries * Coordinate shop work and implement procedures that improve quality, efficiency and organization * Maintain a safe, organized workspace with properly managed tools, parts and equipment *Qualifications* * Diploma or certificate in electronics, electrical technology, mechatronics or a related field, or equivalent practical experience * Basic understanding of electrical circuits and aptitude for wiring and assembly * Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accountability for completing work * Initiative, sound judgment and reliable follow-through * Comfort with computers and learning new software and technical tools * Ability to manage priorities, solve problems and communicate clearly Experience with electronics projects, wiring diagrams, electrical test equipment, Linux or computer networking is an asset.
