Early childhood assistant

At Bennington Heights, we are seeking an experienced ECA that is dedicated to providing high quality child care. We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive teacher, that wants to actively participate in the growth/expansion of the centre. The role of the Child Care Teacher is to foster and facilitate the academic and social development of the children. The teacher will provide a safe and developmentally appropriate program for all children in accordance with all relevant policies. *CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Design and implement a complete program of activities - following How Does Learning Happen? And ELECT * Provide quality care and care-giving activities * Use a variety of activities and methods to motivate and stimulate children?s abilities * Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide all necessary information * Assess/analyze children?s performance and progress, ensuring they are on the correct developmental path (course correct when required) * Comply with all teaching standards and safety regulations * Maintain a safe and healthy environment *QUALIFICATION:* * Diploma in Early Childhood Assistant/Education is an asset * Proven working experience as a childcare teacher * Excellent knowledge of child development and latest education theories and practices * Creative and artistic teaching abilities * Organizational skills * Patience and adaptability * Strong communication, stress and time management skills * Certified in First Aid and CPR *WE OFFER:* * Competitive hourly rate * Monday to Friday operating hours * Opportunity for growth and advancement Job Types: Part-time, Casual Pay: $18.00-$26.06 per hour Benefits: * On-site parking * Paid time off Work Location: In person
