Full-Time Sleep Technician *Bluewater Sleep Disorder Clinic* 1315 Michigan Avenue, Sarnia, Ontario *Position Type:* Full-Time, Permanent *Schedule:* Permanent overnight/midnight shifts, including weekends *Work Location:* In person *Starting Wage:* $20.00 per hour Position Overview Bluewater Sleep Disorder Clinic is seeking a dependable *Full-Time Sleep Technician* to join our overnight sleep laboratory team. This is a *permanent night-shift position*. The successful candidate is expected to work regular overnight/midnight shifts, typically approximately *8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.*, including rotational weekends. Candidates should apply only if they are comfortable and available to work nights on an ongoing basis. The position supports overnight diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies, including patient preparation, monitoring, equipment setup and troubleshooting, documentation, and patient safety. On-site training will be provided to a qualified candidate. We are looking for someone with *post-secondary education and previous healthcare, clinical, health-science, or related experience* who is interested in learning and developing within the field of sleep medicine. Key Responsibilities * Prepare patients and apply sensors, electrodes, and monitoring equipment for overnight sleep studies. * Monitor and document patients and physiological data throughout the night. * Operate, troubleshoot, clean, and maintain sleep-study and PAP-related equipment. * Provide basic overnight patient care while maintaining comfort, privacy, dignity, and safety. * Complete accurate technical notes and patient documentation. * Follow infection prevention, emergency, privacy, and workplace safety procedures. * Participate in training, cross-training, competency development, and certification-related requirements. * Work assigned *overnight/midnight shifts*, including rotational weekends. * Support other sleep-laboratory and clinic duties as required. Qualifications * *Post-secondary education is required.* * Previous education or experience in *healthcare, health sciences, patient care, respiratory care, sleep medicine, or a related field* is expected. * Previous sleep-lab or polysomnography experience is an asset. * Strong communication, attention to detail, and documentation skills. * Good technical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. * Ability to work independently during overnight hours. * Reliable attendance and dependable transportation. * *Must be able and willing to work permanent overnight/midnight shifts.* Compensation and Development The starting wage is *$20.00 per hour*. The hourly rate will increase to *$21.50 per hour upon successful completion of training or the probationary period, whichever occurs first*. Relevant previous sleep-technician experience and qualifications may also be considered when determining the appropriate starting rate.
