If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in your driving skills, this opportunity is perfect for you! *Responsibilities* * Operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight safely over short and long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. * Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security to ensure optimal performance and safety. * Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo. * Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and freight manifests. * Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries efficiently. * Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles; report any mechanical issues promptly for repairs or servicing. * Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts when required for loading or unloading freight. *Qualifications* * Valid Class 1 commercial driver?s license (CDL) with a clean driving record. * Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with freight transportation or logistics companies. * Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including forklifts is highly desirable. * Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary. * Strong understanding of safety protocols related to trucking, heavy equipment operation, and freight handling. * Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach to safety and customer service. * Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or with machinery; capable of standing or walking for extended periods.
