The leadership team at White Sails Brewing is looking for someone to help shape what comes next. We're hiring a full-time, permanent *Taproom Manager* to run the day-to-day in our Taproom and put their stamp on an established Nanaimo brewery. This is a hands-on leadership role, captaining a crew of up to 15 Beertenders, developing engaging on-site events, building in house promotions and specials, and deciding how our taproom experience looks, feels and sounds. If you're a hospitality pro who's ready to step up (or step into your first leadership role) and leave your fingerprints on something, this role is for you. *What you'll be doing:* * *Leading the team:* coaching, motivating and growing a crew of up to 15 Beertenders, and giving them the tools and confidence to shine * *Creating the experience:* making sure every guest, from first-timers to regulars, walks away with a story and a reason to come back * *Building the program:* developing food and beverage offerings, seasonal specials, promotions and in-house events that pack the room * *Running the show:* managing inventory, working with vendors and suppliers, tracking numbers and keeping things humming behind the scenes * *Growing the community:* being the face of White Sails to our beer-loving locals *What we're looking for:* * A high-energy, positive leader who elevates everyone around them * Strong communication and people skills, and the ability to lead a diverse team * Hospitality or service industry management experience is a bonus, but *we'll happily train the right person* with the right attitude * Event-planning chops and the creativity to turn ideas into packed nights * Real craft beer knowledge and the passion that goes with it * Sharp attention to detail, with comfort handling inventory, reporting and general admin * Experience in food prep or menu building is an asset * Adaptable, organized and cool under pressure when the taproom is full *The must-haves:* * Valid Serving It Right and FOODSAFE certification * Valid Class 5 driver's licence and a clean abstract * Availability for evenings, nights and weekends (that's when the fun happens) *Why you'll love it here:* * *Real growth opportunity:* join our leadership team and help build the Taproom experience * *Creative freedom:* your ideas on events, menus and promotions will be heard and put into action * *Permanent, full-time work* with a competitive wage * *Shared benefits package* after probation * *A great crew* and a community of enthusiastic regulars * *Fresh beer* brewed right here in Nanaimo *Ready to raise your sails?* Send us your resume and a cover letter to brian@whitesailsbrewing.com telling us about yourself and why you'd be the perfect fit.
