Delivery driver

Testmark Laboratories Ltd is a leader in the provision of environmental lab testing is seeking a *Driver *for our Thompson location in a *part-time *capacity with previous commercial or long distance driving experience. The routes may involve driving *up to 800km or 8 hours of driving *(round trip) per day on highways and regional roads, in all types of weather. Main routes include to/from Thompson and Lynn Lake, Snow Lake and The Pas. The driving schedule will rotate Monday/Tuesday and Tuesday/Wednesday on alternating weeks. The candidate may be required to drive on a stat holiday. A company vehicle (passenger van or SUV) will be provided, but not available for personal use. _*Principal Duties and Responsibilities:*_ * Provide safe, courteous, and efficient delivery/pickup service to our existing clients utilizing a company-provided vehicle (passenger van). Fuel costs to be covered by employer * Deliver/pick up items in a timely manner to meet required scheduling. * Ensure all items being delivered are handled with care during transport and delivery * Load and unload goods in a safe and efficient manner * Inspect and clean the delivery vehicle regularly * Maintain detailed records of vehicle maintenance, fuel costs and mileage * Other duties as assigned, which may include assisting with general housekeeping and organizational tasks at the lab facility when not driving _*Requirements:*_ * Professionalism in customer service * Ability to receive and relay information effectively to team members * Valid Class 5 driver?s license * Clean driving record (abstract will be required) * Police background check will be required * Problem solving, critical thinking * Job task planning and organizing * Ability to lift/carry up to 23 kg (50 lbs) * Ability to meet tight deadlines * Previous experience as a delivery driver is considered an asset Job Type: Part-time Pay: $24.00 per hour Ability to commute/relocate: * Thompson, MB R8N 0N4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Work Location: In person
