Client Services SupervisorCompetition No: 2026-231Duration: Temporary Full TimeSalary: $37.09 - 38.65 - 40.26 - 41.93 - 43.65/hourSpecial Notes: Subject to Note ?T? of Schedule ?B? of the CUPE 23 Inside Division Collective AgreementLast Updated: 10/8/26This position works in the Shadbolt - Theatre Facility Services organizational unit. This is supervisory, customer service and recreation work in overseeing client services for all theatre presentations, special events, facility rentals and box office operations. An incumbent of this class supervises the work of staff performing box office and front of house operations and works with client groups to determine client requirements and troubleshoot and resolve problems. Provides service coordination for all theatre user groups including the creation and implementation of contracts, building events in a ticketing system and facilitation of all tickets sold; works with internal departments to ensure coordination and facilitation of event day, and develops and maintains client relationships; assists in the development and implementation of new and/or improved systems and procedures in order to improve efficiency and accommodate changing requirements for box office and front of house operations. Performs cash handling and deposit functions by collecting cash and electronic payments received and ensuring that cash handlers have properly balanced floats; balances cash and electronic payments received against cash register transactions, preparing detailed reports on variances, sales, audience demographics and other data metrics for decision making; assists with preparing marketing materials and communications to customers and artists (existing, potential and new). Performs related work as required.Qualifications include the completion of Grade 12 supplemented by courses in arts management or theatre productions or related subject, plus sound experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Sound knowledge of departmental system operations, organization and procedures and of applicable departmental policies, practices, rules and regulations; of methods, principles, practices and procedures in the coordination and administration of box office and front of house operations. Ability to plan, assign, check, supervise, train, schedule and participate in the work of staff and volunteers performing front of house and box office operations; to deal effectively and diffuse situations involving conflict with the public; to prepare and maintain a variety of charts, reports, records, files and documents related to the work. Skill in the operation of computer equipment related to the work.
