Custodian

Jubilee Residences has been serving seniors in Saskatoon for over 70 years through independent seniors housing and long-term care homes. Jubilee Residences is seeking applications from potential residents interested in filling a current building custodian vacancy. The responsibilities of this role are completed after-hours, and during statutory holidays and weekends. DUTIES: 1.Respond to lock-out calls and open suites in a timely manner. 2.Inspect boiler rooms daily, document the readings and inform the manager-on call or housing office immediately of any anomalies. 3.Check laundry room windows and all exterior front and side doors to ensure they are closed. 4.Replace burnt out light bulbs in suites if urgently required. Light bulbs need to be supplied by the tenant. If Jubilee Residences supplies the bulbs, then contact the Housing Coordinators with the name and suite number and the tenant will be charged accordingly. 5.Report maintenance problems to the business office during office hours. For maintenance issues after office hours or on weekends, inform the manager-on-call. 6.Unplug sinks, toilets, and complete other minor repairs. 7.Help keep the Main, East, West and South door access to buildings free of snow always. 8.Shovel and salt the building entrances as needed during the winter months, especially after office hours and on weekends or holidays. 9.Be aware of emergency procedures at Eamer Court and contact on-call management should the need arise. 10.Set up and take down chairs and tables for events in the lounge.
