*Job Description* As the Commercial Manager - Construction, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of renewable energy construction projects across Canada and internationally. Working closely with project managers and reporting to the VP, Construction, this role focuses on the commercial, financial and administrative aspects of active projects. This includes estimating, procurement, cost tracking and financial reporting. The role is designed to bring consistency, visibility and efficiency to how construction performance is measured and managed across Natural Forces? growing portfolio of projects. *Responsibilities* · *Wind Turbine Procurement* o Become familiar with forms of turbine supply and maintenance contracts and the commercial aspects therein o Become familiar with the different turbine supplier technical offerings and considerations o Become familiar with the nature and timing of contracting for wind turbine supply o Assist with the management, negotiation and preparation of the wind turbine supply and maintenance contracts, including commercial terms, technical specifications and scope. · *BOP Procurement & Contract Coordination* o Assist with procurement processes, including bid reviews, commercial negotiation, purchase order placement and subcontractor management. o Support review and processing of variations and change orders. o Ensure contract documentation and commercial records are properly organized and maintained. · *Financial Model CAPEX Inputs* o Work with the corporate finance team to understand their requirements regarding CAPEX inputs for financial models o Work with the construction team to prepare and submit preliminary, pre-bid and pre-financial close CAPEX budgets. o Develop budget templates for the BOP and turbine scopes to allow for efficient CAPEX budgeting. · *Data & Process Improvement* o Analyze project outcomes and financial data to inform future cost estimates and project planning. o Develop and standardize internal procedures for tracking, reporting, and documentation. o Identify gaps or inefficiencies in current practices and implement improvements collaboratively with the team. · *Cross-Project Coordination* o Work across a portfolio of projects (wind, solar, and energy storage) in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI, Newfoundland, BC, and international sites (Ireland and beyond). o Support Project Managers and Construction Leads with consistent tools, templates, and reporting practices. o Participate in occasional site visits and meetings as needed to stay connected to project progress and realities. *Technical Skills* · *Construction Knowledge:* Understanding construction sequencing, project lifecycles and terminology to effectively support field and office teams. · *Financial Reporting:* Preparing regular financial summaries, cash flow analyses and variance reports for leadership and project teams. · *Risk Awareness:* Recognizing potential financial and commercial risks and escalating them appropriately to mitigate impact. · *Document Control:* Maintaining organized records of contracts, purchase orders, correspondence and project reports to ensure traceability and compliance. · *Change Order Management: *Tracking and evaluating variations to contracts, ensuring all changes are documented, costed and approved. · *Project Management: *Fundamental understanding of budgeting, scheduling and coordination of wind energy projects. *Behavioral Skills* · *Problem Solving:* Ability to quickly identify and solve commercial and technical issues. · *Communication:* Excellent communication skills with an ability to articulate complex information to a diverse group of stakeholders, investors and project teams. · *Collaboration:* Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and work effectively in a cross-functional team. · *Attention to Detail:* Be able to read, understand and communicate contract commercial and technical terms and conditions. · *
