Job description
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Aviation/aerospace manufacturing. Aerospace. Tasks: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables. Set up and adjust production machineries/tools. Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools. Perform preventive maintenance. Troubleshoot problems related to equipment. Read blueprints and drawings. Measuring tools: Micrometers. Callipers. Gauges. Verniers. Equipment and machinery experience: Milling machines. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Lathe. Repetitive machining operation experience: Milling. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Accurate.
