Civil engineer

The Civil Engineers will be integral to the company?s hospital focused design, construction, and interior fit-out projects, ensuring that all work meets Canadian building codes, healthcare facility regulations, and the company?s high standards for quality and safety. Their responsibilities will span from the initial planning and design phases through to final project delivery. They will develop, review, and approve structural designs for hospital buildings and healthcare facility fit outs, ensuring stability, durability, and compliance with relevant codes. Close collaboration with architects, interior designers, HVAC technicians, and procurement specialists will be essential to integrate civil works into overall project timelines and budgets. They will also be responsible for on-site inspection and supervision, overseeing foundations, framing, flooring, and structural modifications to ensure that construction work is executed according to approved plans. Compliance with Canadian safety standards, seismic requirements, and healthcare-specific regulations will be a priority, along with maintaining rigorous quality control measures through regular inspections at each stage of construction to verify materials, workmanship, and adherence to specifications. In addition, the Civil Engineers will address engineering challenges that arise during design or construction, providing practical and cost-effective solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget. They will contribute to procurement decisions by offering technical input on construction materials and structural components, ensuring suitability for healthcare environments. Sustainability will also be an important focus, with the Civil Engineers integrating ecofriendly practices and materials into all projects in alignment with the company?s environmental commitments.
