Building maintenance manager

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Hotel, motel, resort. Rural area. Staff accommodation available. Tasks: Direct and control construction projects. Evaluate construction projects when modifying commercial, transportation or recreational facilities and real estate. Identify customers' needs . Plan and organize construction projects. Prepare reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility. Recommend products or services to customers. Assess client's needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services. Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service. Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit client's needs. Direct the maintenance and repair of an establishment's machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems. Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff. Oversee the installation, maintenance and repair of real estate infrastructures including machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems. Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security and snow removal. Resolve product and service related problems.
