If this opportunity excites you, we would love to hear from you! *Overview:* Whether behind the bar in our lively Bar & Lounge, serving members on our sun-soaked Patio, or supporting service in our newly refreshed Dining Room, your focus is always on creating an exceptional member experience. As a Bartender, you bring upbeat energy, strong communication skills, and a natural ability to connect with members and guests. You take pride in crafting quality beverages, maintaining an organized bar, and ensuring every guest feels welcomed and well cared for. Guided by the Shift Leads and Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, you will work closely with the Front of House and Back of House teams to deliver seamless service. While bartending is your primary focus, you will also assist with food and beverage service as needed, helping the team maintain an efficient, polished, and welcoming experience for our membership and guests. *Wage:* $19.00 - $20 per hour + gratuities *Availability:* minimum 15 hours per week, Wednesday to Sunday, primarily dinner service. *Responsibilities:* * Provide warm, attentive service and create a welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests * Prepare and serve a wide range of cocktails, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages to a high standard * Offer thoughtful recommendations and demonstrate strong knowledge of wine and spirit pairings with food * Assist with food and beverage service as needed, including taking orders, delivering food and drinks, clearing tables, and supporting the serving team during busy periods. * Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area at all times * Work collaboratively with servers, supervisors, and the culinary team to ensure seamless service * Follow all health, safety, and responsible alcohol service regulations * Assist with bar inventory, restocking, and product rotation * Engage with members and guests to enhance their dining and social experiences *Requirements:* * Valid Serving It Right certificate * Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and food pairings * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to perform well in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail * Team player with a positive attitude and a passion for hospitality * Must be at least 19 years of age * Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods of time while performing repetitive tasks such as walking, reaching, and bending * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required * 2 years of bartending experience * knowledge of drink recipes and cocktail techniques *Benefits:* * Access to the golf course and practice facilities * Staff meals * FREE on-site parking * Food and retail discounts * Fun staff events * Unique hours ? no super late nights! * Development opportunities (tuition reimbursement, leadership development, and more) * A supportive team of colleagues to work alongside _Point Grey Golf and Country Club is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
