Job description
Do you have experience repairing vehicles and a strong eye for detail? We?re looking for a Journey Automotive Body Technician to bring their skills and experience to our team at Capital Collision Centre! As a *Journey Automotive Body Technician*, you will perform skilled repairs on vehicle bodies following collisions or damage. You?ll use advanced tools and repair techniques to restore vehicles to manufacturer specifications while maintaining high-quality workmanship. We?re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. *Key Responsibilities* * Perform all aspects of structural and body repairs, including panel replacement, structural sectioning, welded and bonded repairs, and frame and unibody straightening. * Complete repairs involving aluminum and high-strength steel materials. * Review damage assessments and work closely with Estimators to ensure repairs are completed accurately. * Read and follow repair estimates, instructions, and manufacturer repair procedures. * Work efficiently to meet production timelines and deadlines while maintaining quality workmanship. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. * Report any safety concerns, equipment issues, or other concerns to the appropriate Manager. * Follow all safety and security procedures to help maintain a safe environment for employees, customers, and visitors. *Required Skills * * Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship. * Strong understanding of vehicle structures and collision repair techniques * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address issues efficiently. * Ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Comfortable working with a variety of tools, equipment, and repair technologies. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong commitment to workplace safety. * Excellent attendance and punctuality. * Full body mobility with the ability to twist, turn, bend at the waist, squat, and lift to 50lbs regularly. * Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods of time, including working with hands above the head. *Qualifications * * High School Diploma or equivalent. * *Red Seal Journey Autobody Technician* certification. * 5+ years of body/structural repair experience in a production collision repair environment (Preferred). * Valid Class 5 Driver?s License with a Driver?s Abstract required. * Certificate of Conduct required. *Hours of Work:* Monday-Friday, 8:00am ? 4:30pm Capital Auto Group is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering a workforce in each of our locations that reflects the diversity of the community in which we perform business.
