Assistant Manager of Accounting

The successful candidate will: Assist with the preparation of financial statements and year-end audit files. Respond to inquiries from the external auditor, the Office of the Provincial Auditor, and the Ministry of Education. Ensure financial reporting complies with Ministry of Education requirements and public sector accounting standards. Research, develop and maintain Financial Services documentation, policies, and procedures. Gather, analyze and report financial information from multiple sources. Identify and correct errors to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Prepare forecasting models and contribute to the annual budget development process.
